    Another subpar performance

Tuesday, April 8, 2008, 02:20 PM CST [General]

I feel like I am starting to fall into a mini slump or something. On Sunday, I bowled another league series which was below my average for the league. I threw a 156-178 for an average of 167. This lowered my league average by about 3 pins, but I again managed to raise my overall average by .3 pins. I know that this sounds low, but for me, it is not too bad.

This time, my daughter and I bowled against a grandfather and his 18 yearl old granddaughter. My 5 year old didn't stand a chance against her. Keep in mind folks that this is supposed to be an adult- youth league. Why is there an 18 year old bowling with her grandfather in this sort of a league you ask? Well, I asked her, and she told me that the only reason she joined the league was because at the end of the league, she will get a Barbie bowling ball and bag!! Sounds a little crappy to me, but oh well.

Anyway, we bowl again next Sunday, and hopefully we can bowl a little better than last week.

    Radar,
Hey Radar, just keep in mind the girl you bowled against this week could bowl in a Jr. league until she is 21 as long as she does not bowl for any money. Until your 21 or bowl a adult league where you get money at the end of it she can keep bowling.

But with that said. I think you may have missed the fact that it is a fun league right? You have a good chance to bet them because of the Team Average. But don't let the little slump get to you. Once your thinking about it becoming a major slump it will be a major slump. From reading your post I guess you bowled the way you did to try to make-up for the 18 year-old. She is just another bowler. Talk to you again soon. Vance
